ST:TNG Season 4, episodes 1-10

4x1 The Best of Both Worlds, Part II (September 24,1990)

so I took a little break in late June. It is August, where were we, ahh yes Captain Picard has been assimilated by the Borg. The Borg knows everything Picard knows which is a lot. The first part and this second are correctly considered to be among the best episodes of the whole series, the 160 some completed and the 500 or so to come.

4x2 Family (October 1,1990)

This was an interesting episode. Dramas at the time never really dealt with the ramifications of previous events. Everything for the most part stood alone. Some earth shattering event like The Best of Both World would be just forgotten. Picard seems to need a break and goes home to France. The other plot seemed to be the humor side as Worf's adoptive parents came from a road company of Fiddler on the Roof. Verdict: Uneven.

4x3 Brothers (October 8,1990)

Data, his evil brother and his creator Dr. Soong. I liked the beginning when Data went crazy and took over control of the ship,It was similar to Spock in Amok Time. I really was not going to like episode. I didn't become fond of Data during my break, Sorry

4x4 Suddenly Human (October 15,1990)

Late 90's teen idol Chad Allen plays a bratty alien child or something. I have noticed that the main problem with the series is waaaay to many episodes. The best dramas today have 10 to 15. Here we deal with 26. Yes, we will see a lot of pointless episodes, this is one of them. I am sure the story writers for Mad Men,Doctor Who,Battlestar, etc,etc came up with a lot of bad episodes, they just never see the light of day.

4x5 Remember Me (October 22,1990)

Ahh, a good episode, a superior episode. Beverly Crusher is stuck in a pocket universe. Nice to see the tall guy "The Traveler" from 1x6 Where No One has Gone Before. He was an interesting character. After irratic to bad episodes, it was nice to see the season really pick up.

4x6 Legacy (October 29,1990)

This was a good one, The Enterprise ends up at Tasha Yar's home planet which is in civil war. We meet Tasha's sister. This was really a first rate episode.

4x7 Reunion (November 5,1990)

Bringing back another good guest star Suzie Plakson as Worf's Ex. This is a great Klingon episode:Poltics,Honor. The season is a good groove right now.

4x8 Future Imperfect (November 12,1990)

A good episode where Riker appears to not remember the last 16 years after a mishap with the Transporter and Gas.

4x9 Final Mission ( December 2,1990)

This episode really has one intent, that is to send Wil Wheaton off the show and on to Starfleet academy. It succeeds in it's aims.

4x10 The Loss (December 31,1990)

Your basic two dimensional life forms episode, this has got to the most screen time Marina Sirtis has gotten in a single episode.
